My interests are in studying spatial vision and depth perception. In particular, I want to ask how different depth cues such as texture and motion interact in the visual system to yield a single depth percept. In addition, I am interested in understanding the functional role of the spatial-frequency composition of textures in problems such as slant-from-texture. I want to address these questions with both psychophysical methods and machine learning techniques, using synthetic and natural stimuli.
