BOGY & BORS

Internships for Pupils

BORS and BOGY are the vocational orientation internships at schools in Baden-Württemberg. BOGY stands for “Berufsorientierung am Gymnasium”, BORS for “Berufsorientierung an Realschulen”. The programmes are intended to empower pupils to make their own choice of training and study. They usually last one week and are compulsory in the respective school years.

During a BOGY or BORS at the MPI for Biological Cybernetics, the students are integrated into a department or research group for the duration of their internship, learn about the research, working methods and processes there, work on their own small projects and participate in experiments and lab meetings.

If you are interested in a BOGY or BORS internship with us, please inform yourself in advance about the institute as well as the departments and research groups. Please make a list of the departments and groups that appeal to you most thematically. In each case, please include a brief explanation of why you are interested in the particular department or group.

Application: A complete application consists of a cover letter, a CV and your most recent school report. In addition, we need a confirmation from the school that this is a compulsory internship from the school side, as well as the above-mentioned list of desired departments.
